My mum Jane Eyre Weatherill was born to Jack and Alice Weatherill in Lancaster in 1929. She had twin siblings, John and Margaret who were born on jubilee day May 6th 1935.Jane was educated at Skerton School in Lancaster, going on to work at Power Sammas company where she met my dad David Leslie Owen. They were married on 25th June 1955, at St Lukes Church in Skerton, Lancaster.
I was born on May 27th 1963. My mum spent her life looking after me after my Dad died. I made a promise to her that I did not keep. Mum I am so sorry, and you were right after all.

Happy New Year Mum,
I just so wish you were here with us as we head into 2012. You were nervous about the year 2000, as were all of us, and look where we are today....so many years on.
You are a big space in my life, and just so wish you were here for me and Carey. She would have loved you so much after all she's been through.
It's me and her Mum , just like me and you, although her Dad isn't dead like mine was. She is a lovely young woman now and I love her so much. Shei s my life, like I was yours. I am so sorry I let you down. There isn't a day goes by that I do not regret it.

Missing you Mum, I just wish you were here to talk to me and put me right on a few things!
Carey is doing so well at uni, you would be so proud of her. She is a beautiful, caring daughter and I love her so much. She is my inspiration in life as she has overcome so much. People wonder how she has managed for the last few years without her Dad, but I hope I have managed to compensate for him. You were right all those years ago Mum, he was a waste of space....no one can beleive he has left her when she needed him so much. But do you know what...... we have a great life and maybe it's for the best.....we are so close, I love her soooo much, that I could have never given her up like he did, Shame on him.
Sorry i have not been on here to talk to you for a while Mum, but I know you know what has been happening and it's not been easy.
I love you so much and have been to talk to you at the crematorium and have felt you around me. x
Carey is my rock and I so wish you had been able to see her as an adult because she is such a giving person......
